Sochi Olympic (2014)
From February 7th to 23rd, 2014, the 22nd Winter Olympic Games were held in Sochi, Russia. This time, we constructed the broadcasting system of Japan Consortium (abbreviation: JC) in IBC.
When we went, the area around IBC was still in the middle of construction, and it was a surprising situation that some roads were not paved. This area was developed for the Olympics, and new hotels, roads and stadiums were built.
Even though it is the Winter Olympics, there is a large amount of luggage, so please transport it to a specialist. Luggage gathers in JC, picks up the equipment to be used from there, and places it on the rack or desk. Then, wire the cable and turn on the power.
Check the system when the power is turned on. Starting with checking the operation of equipment, checking settings and systems, checking the distribution of power supplies, etc. The system is up and running 24 hours a day during the Olympics. Careful confirmation work will continue to deliver stable images to Japan.
After completing the system and handing it over to JC, the number of staff was reduced compared to the time of construction, and we worked with a support system so that if equipment troubles or breakdowns occur during operation, we can handle them smoothly.
